Rachel Herrick Reviews... Muppets From Space

Before Muppets Most Wanted opens next Friday, Rachel Herrick will review all seven of the previous Muppet movies! She has just finished her review of Muppets From Space and we're excited to share it! We're also excited that today happens to be Rachel's birthday--Happy Birthday, Rachel!

  1. There are eleven Muppet movies. KERMIT'S SWAMP YEARS, IT'S A VERY MERRY MUPPET CHRISTMAS MOVIE, and THE MUPPETS' WIZARD OF OZ are all movies, despite being TV movies, so they count. THE ADVENTURES OF ELMO IN GROUCHLAND possibly counts as well, as JHC was responisble for the making of that one.

    1. Elmo in Grouchland, like Follow That Bird, does not count, as it is a Sesame Street film and not a "The Muppets" film.

As for KSY, VMX and MWoO, Rachel is not going to review them, as they are not theatrical films--she clearly stated that she's only going to review the theatrically-released Muppet films.

  2. I didn't think this film was as terrible as everyone else does. Part of the reason for this is, well, kind of a paradox.

Gonzo is my favorite Muppet character (aside from Grover) and having him as the focus of a movie is pretty cool. At the same time, labelling Gonzo as anything other than a Whatever weakens the character.

I completely agree with the reviewer. Rachel. May I call you Rachel? 'Cause, ya'know, if you're not busy this weekend...what? Hmmm? I'm still on? Oh, er, OK, I uh...ahem...So in conclusion, was it great? No. Is it an awful piece of cinematic drivel? No, it's not nearly that bad.

    It's not Swamp Year bad.

And for the record, I loved The Muppets (2011) but found the ending really, really weak. That's a talk for another time though...

*Sorry for the come on Rachel. You really are adorkable, >_< *
