A Tale of Sand is an awesome graphic novel from the people at Archaia Comics which tells the illustrated story of an unfinished and unproduced Jim Henson and Jerry Juhl screenplay. It's fantastic and if you haven't bought it yet, you absolutely should... especially now that it has been nominated for FIVE Eisner Awards. Its nominations are as follows... Best Graphic Album, Best Penciler/Inker – Ramon Perez, Best Coloring – Ian Herring & Ramon Perez, Best Lettering – Deron Bennett, Best Publication Design – Eric Skillman. Congratulations to the entire Tale of Sand team on their nominations! Winners are announced on July 13, 2012.

Earlier this week, Cookie Monster appeared on the ABC cooking program The Chew. He and celebrity chef Mario Batali made cookies and dished the dirt on many of Cookie Monster's Sesame Street co-stars. Our friends at ToughPigs.com have collected all three of the videos of the appearance... but you can check out Cookie's entrance and start on the show below!

Miss Piggy's promotional tour for The Muppets on Blu-ray continued this week as well. Her first appearance this week was on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live. In one of the strangest appearances to date, Miss Piggy gives advice to one of the Real Housewives about something or somewhat. Anyway... here's the video. Try to keep up.

Another great appearance featuring Miss Piggy came when she stopped by E!'s Fashion Police with Joan Rivers. By all appearances, Joan was thrilled to reunite with her co-star from The Muppets Take Mahnattan, and the two divas took turns trading insults and fashion tips. Check it out below!

  1. Piggy & Joan were hilarious! I laughed so hard I cried! So awesome to see Piggy making the rounds. Here's hoping the Muppet domination continues through all of 2012.
