THE MUPPETS Blu-ray and DVD Details

Be forewarned... there are a few minor Easter Egg and Bonus Feature spoilers, so if you'd rather avoid that and be totally surprised come March 20th, be wary!

The Muppets still hasn't entirely left theaters in the United States (and it still isn't even in theaters in the UK), but full details for the Blu-ray and DVD release, hitting stores on March 20th, 2012, of the 2011 film have already been released by Disney! Below is the complete listing of Blu-ray Bonus Features, straight from the official press release, including run-time on most and details on some.
  • The Longest Blooper Reel Ever Made (In Muppet History – We Think) - A laugh out loud look at the actors' funny gaffs and gags from behind the scenes of making Disney's The Muppets.
  • Disney Intermission: Groundbreaking Blu-ray Feature! - Pausing a movie will never be this much fun, as the Muppets take over the screen every time you stop the disc!
  • 15:14 – Scratching The Surface: A Hasty Examination of the Making of The Muppets- Hosted by unit production manager monster J.G., the cast and crew take a behind the scenes look at making Muppet and movie history.

I'm most excited for the deleted scenes, the blooper reel, and the15 minute making-of featurette. But really, everything on here sounds fantastic. 1. I'm hoping those 8 deleted scenes are (or include) the deleted cameos from:
      Katy Perry
      Lady Gaga
      George Clooney
      Danny Trejo
      Wanda Sykes
      Mila Kunis
      Ben Stiller
      Ricky Gervais
      Billy Crystal
      Liza Minelli
      French stewart
      Kathy Griffin

      1. Unfortunately there was no cameo with Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, George Clooney, or Ben Stillre. Those were all just rumors.

    2. Hope we get that kermit/miss piggy scene that was in the junior novelization

    3. Do we know if the bonus features are only on the Blu-Ray? or if the DVD includes the same features?

      1. Unfortunately, only the Bloopers reel is included on the DVD.

ALL of the bonus feature are on the Blu-ray

      2. Thanks for the heads up, looks like it's a hands down Blu-Ray decision then! :)

      3. Seems like I shall have to get a Blu-ray player, then!

    4. Gwen Stefani was spotted at Muppets Studio a few months ago I was wondering if anyone knows if she was supposed to cameo in the film? Either way I wan the other cameos, the alternate ending, and more on the Miss Piggy Kermit breakup

    5. Also one more thing I'd like to see the scene they are in the jail it is on one of the spoof trailers but I heard i was a actual scene a lot like some of the other spoof trailers had parts from actual scenes.
