New Muppets Cast Photo and More

An exciting new promotional group photo along with a brand new logo for The Muppets was revealed by Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs on the maiden voyage of the newest Disney Cruise ship, the Disney Dream. Our good friends at StitchKingdom.com provided us with the scoop and the picture, seen below (click to make it bigger and see all the glory)...
Stitch Kingdom also informed us of an exclusive video clip shown to folks on the cruise: Jason Segel and Kermit the Frog ask Amy Adams to come be in the movie with them. Here is Stitch Kingdom's information on the matter, "In addition to the image and the rehashed details, Staggs talked about how co-writer/star Jason Segel always had Amy Adams in mind for a lead role in the film and even produced a short video message with himself and Kermit the Frog making an appeal to Adams. The video, which reportedly had only been shown privately to Adams and one other screening prior to the viewing on the Disney Dream, features Segel badly singing poorly written songs about Amy Adams attempting to entice her to join the project. And the rest, as they say, is history." See the awesome image from this awesome video below as well!
Awesome? Yes. AWESOME? Absolutely. Here's hoping that this clip of Jason and Kermit pops up on the DVD release of the upcoming movie!

What are your thoughts on the above group photo and the new Muppets logo?

  1. Going completely opposite I actually love the logo. Only thing is I want to scribble out "disney" and put "Jim Henson" in green instead. Now where's my magic marker

  3. Christy, it's probably just the logo for the movie and nothing else.

Besides, Disney's name has to be up there, indicating that they are the ones releasing the film and since The Jim Henson Company doesn't own the Muppets anymore.

P.S.: I like the logo, too.

  5. "Beheaded Kermit" logo!!! Ugh!

I hate the logo! Wish, wish, wish they'd go with the classic font from the 70s and 80s! I can't tell you how happy I was when it popped up on the new movie's director's chairs...
